After having led the acquisitions and dispositions practices at Hilco Real Estate for 10 years, Frontline partners Mitch Kahn, Josh Joseph and Matt Darin knew they worked exceptionally well together.
While making deals and developing strategies for Hilco, they acquired a substantial portfolio of commercial real estate assets in numerous markets throughout the United States. They also oversaw the asset management, sales and leasing, and financing activities for a portfolio of approximately 100 properties totaling in excess of $100 million.
By 2009, they saw there was an unmet need in the commercial real estate industry for principals and advisors with deep knowledge of restructuring situations. The three partners joined together with a new vision for serving clients and investors. In March of 2010 they formed a new entity, Frontline Real Estate Partners.
Since its inception, Frontline has been actively acquiring and managing commercial properties for its own account and providing third party services including brokerage, receivership, property management, valuation, expert witness, and restructuring advisory for a broad range of banks, lenders, owners, and others.
Over the years, Frontline has adapted to the changing landscape and has been serving more traditional clients such as landlords and tenants in addition to banks and financial institutions.
